Pasta and Raymond for Mackinnon

Have been offered Pasta and Raymond for my Mackinnon. Pasta would essentially replace Mack as a keeper and Raymond would be kept as my rookie. Should I ask for more in a Mack deal or just keep him as a keeper? Other options would be asking for someone like Kopitar or Pacioretty as well. I’d be dropping someone like Larkin or Duchene if I did this deal so it’s essentially Raymond/Pasta for Mack/Duchene or Larkin. Any advice would be great!

Definitely not enough for MacK. Throw in the fact you have to drop either Larkin or Duchene, and it's a huge net loss for you.

i dont think its bad too if you believe Raymond will be close to point per game guy...i would ask for first rounder with it as i think he would get it.
But overall im with others, i would just keep Mac.

I'd keep Mack here. Same age, primary linemate Rantanen is younger than he is. Shoots way more than Pasta, same hits/Blocks
Pasta is great and shoots a lot. But not nearly as much. His linemates Bergeron and Marchand are nearing senior citizen age, which means he likely feels the impact with them.

I wouldn't make that deal. I don't mind Pastrnak and Raymond for Mackinnon, but the fact you have to drop another player makes me feel this isn't enough for Mackinnon.

A classic 2-for-1 where you're giving up the best player in the deal and being forced to drop a player at the same time (which is not reflected in the trade value).
You should definitely look at the deal like you said where you incorporate your drop but that is not factored into the offer by the other manager.

Why would you trade Mack?
Superheroes are few.
There is no price that would make me trade McDavid or Draisaitl. No combination of assets can ever replace what they deliver in one slot.
