Yes but to be fair both Zegras and Milano said that they've never practiced that move - and that Milano was telling him to try the Michigan. Wasn't trying to call for a pass. Zegras said it was just split second instinct. So, I think he showed insane creativity to throw it to him.

Regardless, if you disagree that's ok, i'll be sure to watch the highlights from your men's leagues games to take notes on what true exciting plays look like!

I've read so many comments about Zegras on other forums where posters are saying he needs to cut down on the flashy stuff or someone is going to cream him. Cedric Paquette did actually nail Zegras from behind earlier this season, and Zegras wasn't the same for a bit after that. Not saying that Paquette targeted Zegras because of his playing style, but there are fans out there who don't like Zegras' style and I honestly wonder if there are some hockey players who may at some point take offense to it as well, especially if he tried that stuff during the playoffs.

Was it a nice play that lead to a nice goal from Milano; yes. Was it spectacular; not in my eye. No one seems to think Milano was even involved in this play or at least no one is even mentioning the fact he bat the put out of the air to put it in the net.
you sound like fantasy owner of Milano and one that missed out on Zegras lol

i would arguee that this was Milano's last chance and Zegras has resurected his career...this was skill play for both but Zegras has been padding Milanos stat line all year long...specially in last 3 weeks or so.

I remember when Grapes said the same thing about Crosby back in the day. I disagreed with Grapes then and I disagree with those who think Zegras needs to cut down on the flashy stuff. I love the flashy stuff myself. I just don't think this was anything spectacular, as I have already said a few times already.

It was a nice goal, that's clear, but everyone is forgetting about the guy who actually scored the goal, without who this play wouldn't amount to anything. He called the play, Zegras followed up with a nice pass and the goal was a beauty too.

That whole play was nice, not just the pass. People are forgetting about the play as a whole and just focusing on the pass.

In 100+ years of NHL hockey this has never been done. That doesn't happen very often.

I thought it was pretty cool, first time Ive seen anything like that. Its one of those highlights that even a non-hockey fan can appreciate to some degree.

i agree with some other here (kinda).

each on their own is nothing spectacular really, guys bat pucks in all teh time, and i doubt theres an NHLer that cant pick the puck up..

BUT together,..thats what makes this cool...although if its tossed up and Milano misses, its a dud and Zegras probably gets ripped in the media for being a hot dog or something.

    goal of the year

the pass + legal batting of the puck in are equally important to the extreme difficulty of pulling it off in a game.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.
