    Default Offered Boeser for Malkin

    Hello Everyone:

12 team H2H league. Roster size is 27 players (max 4 goalies). Cats are G, A, +/-, PIM, HITS, ESP, Wins, GAA, Sv%

Currently my team is in first place in division. I have Malkin on IR hopefully for playoff push.

Today I was offered Brock Boeser for Malkin. The interesting part, Malkin's contract expires end of season and goes back into our draft pool. Boeser will be a player I can keep for however long his next NHL contract goes (max 4 seasons).

    Interested to hear your thoughts.
    Thanks!

Well, keeping Boeser for 4 years sounds better than losing Malkin for nothing but if your in a strong position to win I'd probable keep Malkin and worry about losing him later

I would consider that now that Bruce Boudreau is Vancouver coach. That man knows how to maximize offensive talent

It's slippery slope, but I agree with this. If Malkin gives you the best chance to win it all this season, then you stick with him and worry about the contract next year. However, if you think it's a lateral move then you make the deal.

This is an excellent point. I think that Boudreau gets the Canucks going offensively, which makes them feel more confident. I do think Malkin is the better player, but you're looking at a small hit this year for a keeper movign forward who is young.

A couple of thoughts: I dont buy that Malkin is fully healthy. If he is, he wont be for very long.
It's Geno Malkin, the guy who sits out the fantasy playoffs every season. Look it up, its a fact.
Why will Malkin do more to help you win than Boeser?

Right on schedule, a 2 point night for the new coach
