I’d definitely keep Makar. Seems like he’s going to be a bit of a unicorn, honestly. I wouldn’t trade him unless I was getting a massive overpay.
All things the same, who do you prefer. I was offered Fox for Makar. Makar seem a little bandaidish. What you think? Thx in advance!!

Makar
Both amazing young D to keep. I agree Makar doesn’t seem to durable but that can change and I still prefer him regardless.
Too close to call. If you're a fan of one of them specifically or a their team, then that one.

Makar
Looking at the past three years Fox has played 29 more games than Makar. So yes, a little injury history. However, in 29 fewer games Makar has scored 12 more goals and has one more point than Fox. Points per game average for Makar is .97 and Fox is .77. Makar hits a bit more and Fox gets more blocks. And Fox sees some short handed usage which Makar doesn’t. Still seems pretty clear that Makar is better.

I like what tweetdrivir posted.
These two players are close in some aspects.
A great visual example of why I want Makar over Fox. Check out his end to end goal he scored against Philly.

Makar has 11 goals on the year already ( 3 goals more than 2nd place Ekblad). He is tied for 5th in dmen scoring, but he has played 4 to 7 games less then the others.
That Philly defense looked so deflated. Beautiful play.

They're both elite, elite assets, but Makar seems to ooze more offensive ability than Fox. Maybe because, as we saw last night, Makar can do offensive things that Fox hasn't shown. They're both elite producers. But between the two, give me the one that exhibits offensive skills that, really, almost no other defenseman appears to have. Makar seems built to be an offensive defenseman.
Makar. Both great but, man, that goal against Philly looks like something McDavid did.

Well, in their head to head matchup last night.

Fox - no points, -3, 3 SOG
They play again in a week, let's see what their stat lines look like after that one!
