Buy Low players
Hi everyone,
I'm in a rebuild and am looking to move vets for long-term potential players. I'm looking to compete in two years.
Out of these players, who do you think I should prioritize from a buy-low perspective in a multi-cat league?
Barzal
Stutzle
Drysdale
Byram
Chychrun
I'm mostly interested in improving my defence, but the Barzal and Stutzle are interesting opportunities. Drysdale doesn't hit, Byram looks great but has an injury history already, and Chychrun is signed long-term to a dumpster fire of a team.
The other owners know each other and I only know two out of 14 so I tend to get the hard-ball/ridiculous offers from the owners I don't know:
One proposed and then reneged on my Buchnevich for Byram at the start of the season
another proposed my Pietrangelo, Pionk, plus Bjorkstrand, for Zegras and Turcotte (which was a hard pass for me even though I'm interested in Zegras)
They're both competing and one is stacked with rookies which he can't keep them all. I know they'll be packaging players at the end of the season so that's why I'm trying to move before other teams get in. Lots of sharks in this pool so there are no real discounts. My main guys on the block are Bjorkstrand, Buchnevich, Pietrangelo but I'm happy to keep them.
Any advice? I'm torn between getting in early at an uncomfortable price or waiting until later in the season and (probably) be pre-empted by one of the owners as they all know each other.

Yes me too, as soon as some players come off ir he will be a drop unless he remembers how to play hockey before that. Guy gets great deployment and does nothing with it
