My Kopitar vs Barzal

I like Kopitar over Barzal.

I was mulling the same deal. I would probably make the swap unless I was sure to win this year, or as close to sure as you can be. If I'm sitting outside the top 3, I trade for Barzal for sure. It's a sell-high buy-low in my mind.

Kopitar this year. Next couple years, it's a tossup - Islanders depress scoring for themselves and opponents..

Have to split the difference on the answers so far here.

I definitely think Kopi is the short-term play and Barzal the longer-term play... so it does really depend on what trajectory your team is on to offer the best perspective here.

I could see Barzal matching Kopi's output by this time next year... or at worst another year after that... so if you can afford to wait, long-term I'm going Barzal. If you're in it now though, you're probably going to reap the better value off Kopitar being on your squad.
