    Default Andrei Svechnikov trade

Team and league info in sig. Anyways guy offered me

Zacha and Shattenkirk for my Svech and said to counter. He want's svech as he's one of his favorites.

So obviously I decline that offer and really don't see a player on his team really besides Rants that might even be close enough in value. So not sure if there is a good fit here or not.

This is one of the most annoying types of owners. "I want this guy, figure out a trade". Trades are hard as **** to come up with, he's too lazy to even try to work something out?

Reject and tell him to come up with a serious offer and then you can counter if you want.

    The audacity of this bitch.

I'm torn between telling him to shove it or countering with a ludicrous offer like Rantanen and Lehner for Svech.

Tell him it is Rantanen +. If he objects just tell him you're holding onto Svech. He has to overpay if he wants his favorite player. There is no rule you have to trade someone.

I would ask for Rantanen +. If that's a no go, nearest trade I would consider here is maybe Debrincat and Scheifele

Rantanen and Lehner would not be a ludicrous counter. Svetch is killin' it. If he wants him, he needs to overpay.

Not sure I'd call 21 points in 23 games (4 in last 10) killing it. I'd counter his offer with Svech for Rantanen and consider myself lucky if he accepts.

You are a bit strange then in a 1 year league. Rantanen is slightly better, but its close in a banger league. Pointwise Rantanen is ahead by a bit, PP points he is monstrously ahead. Hits is Svech. Blocks Rantanen is about twice as many over a full season. Shots is close, slight advantage to Svech. Rantanen also wins some faceoffs, not many but about 20 times more than Svech lol

Svech owners in keepers are hoping he peaks as high as Rantanen. Rantanen had 84 points in his 2nd NHL season, 87 the following year and had 66 points in 52 games last year and was +30. Svech started younger and has shown a bright future, but he is inconsistent and hasn't cracked a PPG yet.

I feel like Svech owners every season say, "this is it. This is the year he reaches superstar status." Except he's yet to finish at a ppg. I'm not saying he's bad, in fact I like him and wish I owned him. But this is in the 1 year league forums and Rantanen is a better own this season.

Exactly. In a one year, there is few players ahead in front of Svech, and Rantanen is sure on of him. I think he is ahead also in a keeper.

I own him in 2 keeper leagues that include hits and PIMs. Age plays a role in that Svech is 4 years younger and I expect him to get better. Plus, Svech's production is somewhat hindered by RBA often putting Svech on the 3rd line with guys like Staal and Fast. Sure, in a 1-year, points-only league I would take Rantanen especially with the prime deployment he always gets and extra 2-3 minutes he receives but in my leagues I take Svech without hesitation.

I'm taking Rantanen over Svech in both 1 year and keeper leagues. If you can get him 1:1 you make that trade every day of the week.
