Goalie Help

I'm forced to make a goalie decision sooner than later.

I dropped Petry to pick up Oettinger before someone else could pick him up. The problem is, I already have 3 other goalies. I was going to drop one of my Boston goalies later after things clear up with the Rask situation. Now DeAngelo is out for a few days or longer and I only have 2 D. My opponent already outnumbers me in games by 39 - 53. Do I drop Swayman or Ullmark, or do I stay put?

The other option I'm thinking about may not be the smartest idea, but I could also pick up Reimer who looks to be the starter. He's playing quite well right now. If he keeps playing well, dropping the Boston goalies may not be a bad way to go. If Oettinger ends up being sent back, I would still have Reimer and Sorokin, and I could stream a third goalie when I need to.

And yes, I still have Francouz to deal with at some point.

I wouldn't drop either Boston duo for Reimer. The games played split between Ullmark and Swayman so far is 8 to 10 respectively. The split between Reimer and Hill is 13 to 10 respectively. So is Reimer the starter? He's no more the starter in SJ than Swayman is in Boston.

I would also argue that Reimer has been given the better matchups, in the month of November, the four games that he did not start were against STL, CGY, COL and WSH. Then his three losses for the month were against TOR, STL, WPG. So he either doesn't play top teams or he loses to them. In order to be successful he needs to be put out against easier matchups.

So you'll drop the BOS duo and then pickup a guy who is only getting 55-60% of starts and who you will probably want to bench if he's starting against tougher competition? Doesn't sound like an upgrade to me.

Your best option is likely to keep all four and try to trade one of your goalies for a forward or defenseman if you're worried about the games matchup.

Including tonight's game, he'll have played 9 of the last 12 games. So I figured he became the Shark's top goalie.

even though oettinger is the best goalie dallas has, my guess is he gets sent back down shortly now that holtby is back healthy as its unlikely they carry 3 goalies on the active roster. but if you were so inclined to drop a bos goalie, it'd be swayman as it sounds like boston wants to get ullmark into a groove, but ullmark has a long history of getting injured so there's always that
