Default WPG, Ehlers - Will he start piling up major points?

Any WPG fan sees him play on a regular basis? Why does the coach hates him?

Also, why WPG can't score these days? What's up with Scheifele?

    Is Wheeler done?

    HI quantaloup.
Regarding Ehlers, why you think coach hates him? This season he plays biggest average minutes. He plays more and more PP as the season continues.
He just cant score, bad puck luck. He shoots a lot. More than in previous seasons. Maybe the shots arent so dangerous. But this may be related to Winnipeg as a team, they are slumping big way and other key players arent producing (More in separate Winnipeg thread.)

I am a Jets fan and, well, was a season ticket holder with the team since the very beginning up until this past season. Got sick and tired chasing after people to buy tickets. I only went to so many games. It's expensive yo.

But seriously, it's just a phase. They will get it right and no Wheeler isn't done. He has had COVID-19 for crying out loud. He's had two strong back-to-back games. Winnipeg is too good and will get their grove back. No, Paul Maurice doesn't hate Ehlers. Yes, Ehlers has the speed and skill, and the smarts to break out. He's only 25. Mark Scheifele is in a funk, but he'll snap out of it. What do you believe in more? A stretch of 10 games or hundreds of games prior?

No the sky is not falling Chicken Little.
I am a hockey obsessed fiend.

Last season was an anomoly imo, Ehlers is not THAT good.

I still think he'll put things together and be much better, but think of him as a 60 point player as he has historically been throughout his career rather than the point per game player he was last season.

Yup. I think most yrs he'll be in the 60-70 range. Expectations got too high on him last year for what he did in a short season in a one-time "Canadian" division that had bad defense and goaltending.
