Default D.Toews sell high or keep ?

EDIT: thread got derailed. Please jump to last posts for actual info!

I drafted D.Toews relatively high in round #9 even I knew he is injured, because I had high expections of him.
He overcome these expectations and his production is freaking hot.

I know he cant maintain his current PPG pace, so the question is:

Is this a sell-high situation or should I keep him, because this will be his best session. Means he will achieve 60 points this season?

I realise he will never be PP1 guy if Makar is healthy.

My other Ds are Hedman Theodore Pionk Krug and I created the thread about their ROS rankings. D.Toews come last in all answers.

I think my Ds are solid and I have to upgrade my forwards, is this a situation to sell high D.Toews ?
I dont have much more sell high items (Kyrou maybe - but the feedback is to keep him) and I need to trade to progress.

If there is an agreement for selling high, is it OK to target P.Laine injured or T.J.Oshie ? Or underperforming Barrie ?

im unsure if you mean 60 pts the rest of the way or if he finishes with 60 points. he has 10 points in 9 games and the avalanche have 64 games left in the season.

60 points in 64 games the rest of the way is.... probably not going to happen.
60 points total means he would need 50 in 64 games which is a 64 point pace the rest of the way for a dman.....slightly more realistic but also probably not going to happen.

that being said, hes on a high scoring team playing on the top pair with makar and PP2 minutes. im treating him as a 45-50 point dman so i would need a 70 pt forward for me to move him. laine and oshie wouldnt do it for me. trading him for barrie i would probably do.

I meant total points in this season, wording in original post corrected.
Thanks a lot for your answer! Let's wait for some other opinions.

The question is still valid. Toews keep producing, mainly because Makar and Byram were out.
Makar is back, so the Toews's production will decrease. And he shooting 15.4% (carrier avg is 6.9%).
Any other insights? Would you now keep D.Toews (1year no keepers) or sell high now? Tnx.

I’m keeping him. His value has never been dependent on Makar. Yes he may get a slight boost when Makar is out, but Toews is very talented, the coach loves and trusts him, and he sees just about as much ice as Makar. The Avalanche are so deep and good that linemate quality is high regardless. Last night Makar had a goal in 25:42 of ice time and Toews had two assists in 23:13. The assists came on a goal by Landeskog with the other A going to Mackinnon and PP2 goal from Newhook. He and Girard are also really good together on the PP. He’s underated and I don’t think the return would be worth it unless it’s really good and from a GM who sees his value.

yes, at this point might as well ride the wave unless you get someone clearly better in return.

I tried trading him for the 30th best C (Season Average).
    D. Toews is the 14th average overall defender this season.
I got berated by my league.
Maybe your league is better, but no one in my league sees the value he holds, so I am holding him now.

im cruious who this centre is also.

dtoews put up 31 pts in 53 games last season, a 48 point pace in a full season. it is unusual for a team to have 2 50+ pt dman on the same team in the same season, but this version of colorado isnt most teams.

The 30th best center (season average ranking) is Vincent Trochek.

Trochek for Toews is an ok trade - but I’d rather have Toews.

In a 12 team league where you start 2 at C there isn’t something better on the wire? You need to be dumping J Toews for Boeser, not Klingberg...maybe even Seguin.

You think Klingberg is a hold over J Toews?
I've been trying to acquire a new C so I can drop him.

Wire has Hischier, Danault, Nelson IR, Pageau, Monahan, Johansen, Rodrigues, T Thompson.

It's not empty, I've sort of been holding faith.
Are any of these guys ahead of Boeser?
