Where does Matt Murray land?
Ottawa didn't work and he can be inconsistent but he is a NHL goalie. Only 27 you would think someone will take a chance on him and "fix" the problems.

Last night on HNIC Marek suggested AZ or Buf as teams that might take a look. It will have to be in the form of a trade at this point where teams are enticed to take the contract. As Marek pointed out, AZ will need to take some salary to prepare for when they trade Kessel's big contract, because otherwise they could slip below the cap floor.

It wouldn't surprise me that much if the answer is nowhere this year, except the AHL. He's been inconsistent his whole career, and things have gotten worse in Ottawa, which anyone could've predicted. They hoped to get off that contract in expansion, but it failed.
The contract is an albatross, and they will have to figure out how much to retain and how to sweeten the deal to get somebody to take him. Might not happen.

I expect him to play in the AHL for a while and end up back in Ottawa at some point this year.

Interestingly, Marek and Friedman were discussing the Ott goalie situation and said they are listening to offers on their other goalies not named Murray. So maybe Murray in Ottawa isn't over just yet. They also noted that Buffalo isn't looking at Murray as previously thought. I could be reading into what they said but Anton Forsberg seemed like Buff's target.
