Reports that Sunday’s game ppd ? I get it that the Isles roster is decimated… but mostly by injuries, not Covid, right ?

this would be a covid postponement.im surprised theyre only delaying 4 days worth of games so i anticipate if theres another case in the next 2-3 days thatll mean theyll postpone it further

i do wonder what itll take for the NHL to say no to the olympics....

Breaking News: The NHL has announced that up to 8 players from the #Isles are potentially unable to play due to Covid and because of that, they have suspended their games till at least Nov. 30th.

The Islanders asked the NHL to suspend it's last two games due to the Covid situation within their teams but they were played. Looks like they are finally getting their wish.

man it appeared for a while that COVID is slowly going away but that is certainly not a case anymore. New variance, more and more cases across the board...we loosened restrictions and this thing is making a come back..if it mutates few more times all those vaccines will be useless too...crazy times we live on and who knows when this will end or at least level off....

However we’d like to look at it, warm moist places with lots of close contact …. could you better define a sports locker room? The fans - whether the 18,000 within NHL arenas, or the 90,000 at college football games - don’t seem to have as high a transmission risk. Clearly the experts don’t know everything (and never will), but whatever precautions we/they need to take, it’s gonna have to happen.

i agree but what is scary to me is how little effect vaccines give when other safety measures are not being followed anymore...scary times..

Interesting. Icant remember where I read/heard that but to be fair, I'm not sure I believe much of what Lou says to the media. He's not one to give them much of anything if you believe guys like Friedman.
