Default The Canucks...patience or abandon ship?

Not sure what is going on but they have looked terrible on both ends of the ice. I'm sitting with almost $10m tied up in Garland and Miller. Trying to be patient but this is an uneasy feeling and am now glad I was able to move Demko a few weeks ago.

Unless someone has a crystal ball this is all just opinions and feelings but wondering others thoughts on if they believe the Canucks will turn it around or this is the team of 2021-22?!

Happy Thanksgiving to all the American Dobbers!

It sounds like they may be making a change behind the bench or at GM. I have a feeling the players are tuned out a bit. I think regardless of whether the change is coach or GM, sometimes the players respond. Right now you can feel the frustration with guys like Miller and indifference from guys like Pettersson. I would hold out to see what transpires. I think they are better than this - not sure if theyre a playoff team, but they're better that what we've seen. And I think if they are going to make a change it could happen any time now.

Thanks for the input. They are still getting ice time and putting up points but just lacking the consistency. At least they are being more productive than Boeser and EP.

You need to be patient because you would be selling at the lowest or dropping players that will eventually rebound.
That team is too talented to score 2.29 goals per game during the entire season.
It might stay at the bottom of the standings, but fantasy wise there's only up to go.
    Points-only keeper league. 12 teams. Keep any 12 players. Dress 12F - 6D - 2G.

Patience in keeper leagues for sure - Benning should have been fired a while ago, before they let him make that Ekman-Larsson trade. Not sure how much more the ownership will tolerate - they should bite the bullet and just clean house and find new management and coaching. I have very little hope for this season.

It really depends on who the players are. The guys you're inquiring about I think are holds at worst.

First off, if owning Miller is a problem for you, I think that the rest of your league would be willing to take him off your hands. He's got 19 points in 21 games, is doing 2.5 shots and 2.5 hits per game, with a good faceoff quantity and percentage from a wing-eligible. I've seen people saying the Canucks need to trade him, but honestly, he's their best player.

Garland is on a 60 point pace at a reasonable salary for that, and he's not getting a lot of power play time.
