Does anyone see how the Leafs re-sign Jack Campbell? Up against the cap and not much wiggle room. Do they roll with Mrazek and a cheap backup or do you see them cutting Mrazek loose instead? Or maybe they trade a high salary forward?
His value could well go down on a lesser team so wanting some opinions on where he ends up next summer.
Based on local radio, they'll probably look into resigning him in the latter part of the season but so far, there's no reason not to sign him. The problem is Mrazek's contract ate up Campbell's money. They are guessing a 4 yrs $4-5M/year deal could do the trick but anything more may not be sustainable for the Leafs.
