    Default Draisatl 50 in 50?

Too early to start looking at Draisatl joining the very exclusive 50 in 50 club? 17 goals in 15 games is a pretty solid start towards it.
It would be wild if someone other than Ovechkin joined the group from this generation of stars.

This was always a record I was interested in my younger years—there was a hockey card with all 5 on it and it was always my favorite trivia question.
I remember Neely getting 50 in his first 50 games, but it wasn't in the Bruins's first 50 games so it doesn't count. Has to be first 50 team games.

Without looking, who are the 5?

    Last name missing: The Rocket!

Juri Kurri would be another one to join Neely in the 50 in his own first 50 games.
I'm sure there's several more in that list too.

Agreed. It does seem surprising Ovy never did it with the overall total he has. Although he was more about consistency than insane yearly totals. He did hit 65 one year, but most years was close to 50 over 82 games.

It's possible. Much harder in this era with goal scoring down. Heck, maybe Ovechkin gets there as well.

The game is too hard for anyone to achieve that, but we have seen some wild numbers out of players recently, so who knows. But shooting at a 30 percent rate, and Ovie having a career year at 36.... Two things that tell me, things are too good to be true. There will be a market correction unfortunately.
