Please help me tier my expensive defenders

12 Team H2H Dynasty Cap League where top 6 make playoffs, top 2 get byes. Categories: G, A, Pts, SOG, PIM, H+B and W, SV%, GAA, and Shutouts. Team is contending, and hasn't missed the playoffs since I took it over.

Cap is $110M, and I don't worry about that number at all, is it's just for active & reserve roster.

Roster: 12/6/2 active main roster F/D/G, 2 reserves, 5 IR, and 53 AHL spots. No restriction on who is on the AHL roster, however any player who makes over $3M has to clear waivers to be sent down, if claimed the player needs to go on the claiming team's active roster. Anyone at $3M or less goes up and down freely.


I have the following current NHL defenders, "Ends" is contract end season. I have a few prospects not on contracts as well.

Does the list of D below the line look good for a 12 team cap league?

Looking to get some thoughts on tiering the guys above the line. I currently see it as follows:

Ekblad/Letang
Hronek/Provorov
Weegar
Schmidt/Toews

I think the way you have it is right for the most part. I'd be tempted to shuffle some guys up or down a tier based on long-term outlooks and opportunity but it's nitpicky stuff unless long-term is your primary concern.
