maybe his individual stats are not great but he has 3 wins in 5 starts and Vanecek is 3 in 9...i fully expect close to 50/50 at end of the day. Fucale starting is curious...He has been very good in minors so maybe thats why...time will tell
Has not been great and Capitals are starting Zach Fucale over presumably Samsonov tonight against Detroit.
I missed out on securing Vinacek. Am I screwed, should I try and get something for Samsonov to the VV owner ?

First off, as a Fucale fan and a Mooseheads fan, I am happy to see him finally getting a shot. He was a good Jr goalie, not a great one, but a good one on a very good team in Halifax. There is no way he should have been drafted by Montreal in the 2nd round of the NHL draft a few years ago. No surprise, Montreal with sketchy drafting again. None the less, after some successful seasons in Europe and playing excellent for Canada in a few Spengler Cups, he's deserved of this opportunity.
As far as Samsonov goes, I am not ready to throw in the towel yet and I own him in a couple keepers. Patience.

"Cleavage is like the sun. You can look, but dont stare.. Unless you're wearing sunglasses."
I'd be jumping ship, if I were a Samsonov owner. He's not showing any signs of improvement and the Caps don't see too eager to keep giving him chances.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
Vanacek seems to be out for the next few days, and with a back-to-back today and tomorrow, it's not surprising that they're splitting the games. Just because Fucale gets the first game means they think that matchup is better for him. Patience with Samsonov is what I'll be preaching here.

(No I don't have a hockey problem...)
Vanecek is not necessarily out for a few days. He practised with the team and seems fine and the coach has stated this is a maintenance day for him. I wouldn't be surprised if Vanacek started tomorrow.
The Caps have absolutely no faith in Samsonov right now. I see his stock going down, as low as it is now.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
Hot start for the Fucale kid. Shutout in his (first NHL start ever??)
Not good news for Samsonov owners unfortunately.
The Fucale kid is older than both Samsonov and Vanecek.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.
