Has there been another big trade acquisition since Mark Stone that I'm not remembering? Or does Vegas just get everyone?

Not to mention arguably the biggest FA signing in AP.

The Pacioretty trade reaped not only SUZUKI, but also TATAR (several years of excellent production) and, icing on the cake, NORLINDER. Best trade by Bergevin since the Danault for Fleischman/Weise fleecing of the Hawks.

What's lost in all this is the rocket Eichel is gonna start dating before the end of the season because the second someone goes to Vegas, they get a partner that's essentially a model.

Oof, yes. That's a brutal return in my opinion.

Unfortunately, it seems what I said in a different thread about NFL trades (or lack thereof) holds true here too ... and that's why bad teams stay bad.

P.s. One bright spot for me is the beauty of participating in the the fantasy game. I acquired Eichel last week in my keeper/dynasty knowing that (a) wherever he was going to end up would almost assuredly be a situation with a more talented supporting cast that he had in Buffalo, and (b) that would help lessen the sting felt in my real hockey fanhood if the return for Eichel ended up being disappointing. Mission accomplished. Vegas is about as cushy a landing spot for Eichel as could have been expected (the Rangers may have been better, but that ship sailed a while ago). Long live fantasy hockey!

Krebs reported as untouchable was obviously posturing (no one is untouchable) but when you go 9 games pointless and fail to make an impact it makes it easy to remove you from the lineup. Not a good sign for Krebs owners.
