Probably not. They'll just convince themselves that Eichel was a problem who needed to go just like they did and continue to do with now Stanley Cup Champion and Conn Smythe winner Ryan O'Reilly.

I don't think so. The team wasn't good with him, wasn't good without him. Didn't work to bring in a winger like Hall to play with him, didn't work with lesser wingers who Eichel can elevate (like Crosby has done thought his career). Eichel was rightly frustrated and wanted out. The disagreement on his medical course solidified that.

...and, no, I'm not saying Eichel was a problem or the problem. It just didn't work. Apparently for him too. It happens. And like I said, I'm still rooting for him. Looking forward to what he can do in an organization like Vegas.

Well it’s been done on an NHL player before so it’s basically a routine procedure now. lol

So apparently Eichel has been skating for almost 2 weeks now. That changes things lol. If he's been on the ice for 2 weeks, already I would think getting back to hockey shape is likely ahead of schedule too.

I don't know the extent of McNabb's injury tho, but if it's longterm, it might fix itself closer to the date Eichel returns.

Ya, I don't think they stash Eichel on LTIR for an extra 25-30games without Eichel getting upset.

Plus, I feel like the owner wants to see Eichel play ASAP. He spent a lot and is spending a lot on salary, he wants to see his results.

LTIR to the playoffs doesnt make sense, eichel still needs to play to develop chemistry with the new team, doesnt seem like game 1 of the playoffs the right time to work out those kinks

have to think accessory wingers like reilly smith and dadonov will need to be moved to accomodate. they shouldnt touch their defense to save cap space
