Sometimes dropping an asset and moving elsewhere is more beneficial even if the asset turns it around. I think this is one of those situations. Dump the asset, use the space for a streamer, and check back into Petry in a month.

I’m still in the staying patient camp and am keeping Petry. He’s been on my bench for the last couple of weeks until he shows signs of life, but with Spurgeons injury my hand might be forced to make a move sooner than I was hoping

Petry is slowly coming alive. 5 shots last game, a few more hits and blocks, things are just starting to percolate. I would not be surprised to see him put up a 2 point game this week, and from there on the points will start flowing with their traditional regularity.
Klinger finally got off the snide tonight with 3 apples, 2 on the PP of which he dominated for ice time.
It can be slow and painful, especially with D, but most times, the regression to the mean comes around.
But hey, that's just my 2Sense.

Yeah, I think I'm done. The Habs go to win 6-3 and Petry only had 1 SOG and 3 hits to show for it.
I'm going to drop him for Oettinger in case he sticks with Dallas and worry about picking up another D once Boston's goalies figure things out.

Agreed. Petry's lack of point production is almost comical at this point. He plays 23 minutes a night and cannot even get a secondary assist when Montreal scores in bushels. Regardless of his play the level of bad luck necessary for him to be held at 2 apples this season is ridiculous. He must have crossed the devil at some point this offseason.
