It Begins

Flower was dropped last night in one of my leagues. I’m last on waiver priority but could dump a low producing Forward for him if need be. Is he worth putting in a claim or is the dumpster fire in Chicago just starting to burn and getting worse?

Punted goalies in the draft in this league and still ended up with Binnington and Holtby. Standard H2H points 4 for a W, -2 GA, .2 SV, 3 for SO.

Depends on who your current goalies are, what your league requires in terms of starters/games played, what goalie categories apply and who the forward is you'd be dropping.

But in a vacuum, I'd be interested in bringing Fluery aboard. I find it hard to believe Chicago will be this bad all year.

I think I was making an edit as to current goalies and scoring system when you were replying. Current ones are Binnington and Holtby. ESPN Standard H2H points 4 for a W, -2 GA, .2 SV, 3 for SO. Technically we don’t have to start any goalies each day if we don’t want. The forward I’d drop for him more than likely would be Duclair.

Fleury has more upside than Duclair, I'd say.

If you're dropping a Duclair quality guy, that's fine. You just need to hope Chicago gets things going.

Put in the claim. MAF has a lot of upside and it's still early. He should get back on track, or at least he will be given every opportunity to do so. There is no way he keeps putting up these horrid numbers. You can add him and bench him for tough starts in the early going. A goalie of his calibre is worth giving a 2nd chance to.

And of course Duclair notches another goal. I could maybe drop Voracek instead. Interestingly enough I didn’t put in a claim yesterday and MAF cleared Waivers today. He’s still there and I’m last on waiver so everyone seems to be gun shy.

I'd drop Duclair instead of Voracek for MAF.

I'd probably drop Duclair over Voracek. Voracek is playing well, and has a clear role.

Thanks for the replies. He’s still there and with Carolina on the menu tonight I think Chicago gets throttled again. A lot of wait and see in the league nobody wants to touch him.
