Chabot for Hedman?

1:1, I have Hedman but I need to get a younger team so I'm considering Chabot, who already has a 55 point season to his name on an emerging team while Hedman is 30 and likely won't hit that 70-point peak he previously hit.

My league counts G, A, PTS, SOG, +/-, TOI, BLKS, and HITS.

Not a trade I'd make. Chabot is being held back by his lousy PP production, which might leave an opening for Brannstrom. Yes, Hedman has Sergachev lurking, but Hedman should sleepwalk to 60-70 for several more seasons while Chabot might not get there at all.

Hedman should hit 50+ easily for the next 3-4 seasons. He gets you everything and is on a perennial contender. Ottawa is young and improving and it will be a while yet before sniffing a championship. There is a time to deal a guy like Hedman but that isn’t now.

I'd pass. The goal isn't to get younger, it's to get better. Hedman should outproduce Chabot for a while still.
