Should I acquire Eichel at that price?

This other GM who owns Eichel is basically asking for Puljujarvi and Garland as the main pieces back in a trade.
For my points-only league in signature.
What's your take on that offer? Am I missing something here?

I must admit that I don't like how that Eichel situation is unfolding.
Plus, it would basically mean that I'm throwing the towel a week into the season and renouncing to defend my title.

he will not play this year and he may not play part of next..but if he returns to what he once was i think this is very good deal to make....Healthy Eichel is a stud

I would do it. I don't think you are throwing in the towel at all, and you get a really good piece back for a keeper role. However you can def take it as a yr to tank and go for Wright.

Move Crosby for Kuch, go into the yr with Kuch+Eichel+Marner as your 1-2-3 and have a possible shot at a high draft pick.

I don't think Pul/Garland is anything a guy who owns Eichel should be targeting. I'd personally rather just hold onto him lol. Take the trade.

I think Puljujarvi and Garland are good pieces but not great.
I do not think there value above a replacement player is huge.
Sure Puljujarvi could have a 60 point year playing with McDavid and Draisaitl.

But Eichel is a potential 100 point player when he returns healthy.

I think its a good shout at this point, Pulj seem to be breaking out of his shell but is still fairly unproving. Garland is a stud but if you team can handle those loses. The risk for Eichel is worth it at this point.

That being said what you're doing is a HUGE gamble so be prepared for the worst (Eichel doesn't play again this season)

If Eichel was healthy, the price would be a hell of a lot higher. If those are the main pieces I'd seriously consider it but you have to know he's not going to help you this year. This is a long term investment.

That's a crazy cheap price for Eichel. I'd definitely go for it.

Absolutely, most of the dilemma is about this season. All my star forwards are either hurt or completely asleep, so in that sense that other GM is wise approaching me because he knows I could fold and trade good pieces for his run this year.

It's a long term investment, but with quite a bit of risk. No way to know how this surgery will turn out...

But I agree that the pieces going back are mostly replaceable, in fact none were keepers going into the redraft.

Both Puljujarvi and Garland are interesting players to own and solidify an attack, but if losing them compromises your season, it is arguable that it was already compromised.

Take Eichel.

there's also no guarantee poolparty stays with CMD as hyman was back up on the line last night. Garland sees little pp1 time. 2 50-60 pt players for eichel seems like a really really low price. i'd do it but like many said above, just plan on him not playing this season
