Acquiring Knight (1 Year League)

I'm not concerned so much with who is the starter in Florida as I think this season we'll see a 50/30 split for Bobrovsky and Knight but I'm wondering if others think it would be worth trading for Knight.

League is below. I'm thinking the most I'd want to give up is a guy like Garland or Couture. Couturier, with PP1 time is too valuable for Knight. One problem I'm going to face is the owner drafted Knight in the 6th round so he's probably going to cost more than I want to pay.

Thoughts on if I should bother trying and what I should be offering?

Given you have only Pens goalies and Bob currently, Knight would be a good addition.
That being said if he was drafted in the 6th round (ahead or behind Bob?) he may be highly valued.

I agree with your valuation: Couture would be OK but Couturier is too much. Maybe try and leverage Meier's hot start to get it done.
It is worth a shot to try and acquire, but if you have to overpay I would keep Bob and just deal with the 30 starts Knight gets.

Way ahead of Bobrovsky. Knight went 63rd overall then I took Bobrovsky 126th overall.

Yeah I think that answers your question. It was not smart to draft Knight that high (or ahead of Bob) but keep it in mind. It shows to a degree (especially early) how high he values Knight.

If they drafted them that highly, I doubt you can get a deal done. I'd be fine holding, and finding goalie help elsewhere, when you need it.

So I decided, after reading your comments, to just stick with what I own. The GM has now sent me an offer including Knight:

Mantha+Knight for Meier

I actually like this and I'd then drop DeSmith.

Thoughts?
