There are 16 teams, divided into 2 divisions. 8 teams make the playoffs. It's a semi-keeper league, entering its 8th year. 15 players are carried over each season, and a 7 round supplemental draft takes place every year to replace your 7 cuts.

This league also has a deep prospect system. A 5-round prospect draft is held every year with the supplemental draft. Each team has a max of 25 owned prospects in their system, separate from their 22-man roster. Prospects are: skaters 82 GP and under, and goalies 41 GP and under. Prospects only become owned (added to your system) by drafting in the prospect draft, by or trading for a drafted prospect.
