Smith vs Markstrom

I have Shesterkin and Markstrom as my goalies but M. Smith is in free agency. Is he worth the pickup or should I hold Markstrom?

In one year, take Smith and enjoy. Markstrom is overrated an the Flames are mediocre at best. Smith will get you more Ws and better SV%. Markstrom may play more games but his team won't win as many and his SV% will not be as good.
And I'm a Markstrom owner. If I could make the switch, I would in a second.

If this is a keeper then it depends on whether you're going for it this year or not. If you think you have a real chance, go with Smith, you'll likely find a replacement for Markstrom later.

smith is 39 years old, and they have a backup that makes a decent chunk of change if smith falters.
markstrom is the guy in Calgary and he is a workhorse. Its been 2 games, he'll be ok.

Markstrom is a work horse but his team is the problem. Edmonton stands to win a ton of games and Smith should see the bulk of those starts/wins. Koskinen had his chance now they're rolling with Smith so in a 1 year I'd go with him. Not an easy drop but I'd part with Markstrom to improve your goaltending, good luck.

funny I asked this exact question before my draft and the majority decision was they'd trust Markstrom over Smith

I took Markstrom and am happy with that decision thus far considering Smiths injury and injury history but it will be a good debate this year
