    Default Thoughts on Jack Quinn?

What’s the consensus on this guy? I try to stay away from Buffalo, but he should be a part of their core in the future, right? Also, would you rather have him over someone I have like York?

He should be but the conventional wisdom is that Quinn was the guy who benefitted from skating with Rossi in Ottawa and was also boosted by the Ottawa 67s being good in his draft year. The degree to which he can produce absent a high-end center should shed some light on his chances for success at the NHL level.

York is stuck behind Provorov and Ellis for the foreseeable future. With Quinn's upside and having a clear path to #1RW I think I would make that swap. Even those who thought he benefitted from Rossi still mostly had him in their top 10 and he still had a decent year in the AHL considering he was a teenager.

I actually like both of these kids. Quinn is more boom or bust... awesome mitts but needs to round his game out... and he's on Buffalo.
York is a safe play... he has PP1, 50+ point upside and his game is decent enough to be a top-4 fixture fairly soon.
Philly still doesn't have an elite PPQB... Yandle is 651 years old, Ellis, Ristolainen and Provorov are good but not great options.
York is the long-term answer to Philly's PP unless they include him in a package deal for a more proven fish.
