Eligible to return Nov 30. Decent news for those of us who took a chance on him late in our drafts. I’ll take him for 3/4 of the season when i got him in round 21 of the experts league draft.

I wonder if the NHLPA appeals or just lets him take his punishment

I added him SECONDS post draft in my league. I'm actually very happy with this if this is his punishment for being an absolute idiot. I'm now concerned with if the sharks roster him afterward or not.

4T2 is much more optimistic than me. I don't think he plays this season. The Sharks don't want him, and I don't think any team will trade for him.

He was also cleared with regards to the abuse allegations made by his former wife and the NHL called that investigation also closed. So now the question is does he stay in San Jose...

Agree with those saying that there's still uncertainty whether he will play this year. Seems done in San Jose, and while he'd be of help to most teams out on the ice, he does seem like a bit of a tough sell right now in a trade.

Will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Kane also comes with a $7 million/year cap hit for this year and 3 more, is owed another $26 million in real dollars during that timeframe, and comes with a modified no-trade clause limiting his marketability to 3 teams of his choosing (if I'm remembering correctly).

I admittedly don't know how a contract buy-out would work (or is even available), but that's a lot of administrative negatives for a new team to take on with an already polarizing player.

Given the desperate state of the justice system in CA I very much doubt any action is taken on a Covid card charge. It’s a deterrent and not one they can afford to act on.
