I don’t trust Holtby so it would be him especially since Price is out for over a month or so.
Typing this on my phone so don’t mind the formatting. My league just changed a rule making it a max 3 goalies on a team so I need to drop one of these 3 goalies. Any help is appreciated.
Holtby
Peterson
Allen
12-Team Roto Keeper - G, A, +/-, PPP. SOG, Hits and Blocks.

Thanks for the response I’m just worried cause Allen isn’t that great and Holtby looks to have taken the starting role. I have until only 6pm to drop but I’ll probably pick Holtby to drop. Thanks!
It’s not so much Allen as it is the team in front of him. They just can’t score atm, but I can see how you’d want to keep Holtby but he’s screwed me many times before (fantasy wise I mean) so there’s that. Good luck!

I'd drop Holtby. He's got so much competition in the Dallas net and I don't see him lasting there long-term. I think they'll bring Oettinger up soon.
Team 1:
J Hughes, Cooley (r), Bratt, Laine, M Tkachuk, Necas, A Svechnikov, S Jarvis, M Michkov (r), W Johnston, Zegras, Giroux, Norris, Couturier, B Jenner, T Krug, Burns, M Weegar, Werenski, Sergachev, B Clarke (r), Theodore, Sorokin , Oettinger, Askarov (r), Ersson
12 teams, No salary cap
Keep 14 plus 4 rookies (under 150 GP) max 18 players
Scoring: G (1), A (1), +/- (0.25), H (0.1), B(0.1), PIM (0.1), SOG (0.1), GWG (1), PPP (1), SHP (1),
Goalies: W (2), SO (3), GA (-0.5), OTL (1), SV (0.1)
Petersen - best of these 3 goalies at current time.
Allen - backup quality NHL goalie with a starting gig for now.
Holtby - unsure if he's even backup quality NHL goalie any longer, but team is a bit more defensive and better than Montreal.

Safe play is dropping Holtby. Gamble play is dropping Allen. Also, its a bush league move for a league to institute a rule like that post-draft and mid-season.

It gets worse. We are allowed to pick up a goalie for Saturday and go over the 3 max but they must be dropped by Monday before games start or else the commissioner locks your team for the week. Absolute joke lol
My commissioner put the 3 goalie max rule in but then one of the managers mentioned how we might need to stream a goalie for wins on the weekend to win the week so he changed it so that you can pick someone up on saturday or sunday but they must be dropped by monday. I was the only person with 4 goalies and I've won the league 5 times out the 10 years we have had the league.
12-Team Roto Keeper - G, A, +/-, PPP. SOG, Hits and Blocks.
still a mid season rule is not the way to go about things
Peterson
Holtby - hold while he's hot but be prepared for the wheels to fall off
Allen - MTL has to get better right? team has not looked great - unsure of Price's timeline

League rules have to made/amended before draft. This goalie rule at first appears to curb a GM's ability to strategize around the difficulty that goalies have become since NHL teams have transitioned away from workhorses... BUT, then why the streaming clause to it? I mean doesn't rostering a 4th ghoulie lose you a skater? There's risk there since netminders are voodoo crazy. I always think the Saturday/Sunday pickup to steal a cheap win is also bush league.

Holtby is the drop
I think people should have more faith in Holtby resurrecting his career in Dallas. He's a former Vezina, Jennings and Stanley cup winner who has played the last few years on offence first teams with bad D leaving him holding the bag. From what I've read and heard in interviews, Holtby got to Dallas and started working with the goalie coach on some pretty major changes to his game, but because of Covid had a hard time getting it all implemented. Holtby's strong start may be more than just a hot streak if a proper team defensive system, the best D core he's had in years and a new play style has sharpened his game and the fantasy results he produces.
Montreal is a mess, drop Allen.
