Killorn plays with top Tampa guys all the time and tops out at 50 pts, Bennett is not suddenly a star.

Taylor Hall averaged 16 min. (15:58) a game in 16 games w/Boston last year. He played 15:03 tonight. What's the upside of someone that plays 2nd line/PP1? 60-70pts? 2 hits every 3 games? It's not like he's playing with a talented centerman either, it's Charlie Coyle, who had all of 16pts last year.

Even if you don't think Bennett is a star, what is his floor? 18 min. a night with a consistently 90+pt left winger, PP1, 2 hits a game? The upside is immense, but the floor is clearly quite favorable as well. I would rather gamble and fail than to live with regret. No nut is in November.

Did you ever think that Taylor Hall might just make Coyle better, rather than relying on Coyle to make him better, as Bennett seems to need? Hall has always been a line driver, not a passenger.

Fun to revisit these posts at the end of the season.

I think over a full season it should be pretty close.

My best guess on points? Hall somewhere around 55-60 points (if he sticks on PP1), Bennett just slightly more (if he sticks on PP1).

I think Bennett's ceiling is higher playing on a line with Huberdeau. And Bennett should put up quite a few more hits.

You haven't seen Bennett play in Florida, have you? He looks like a legit star and is in a sweet spot playing with Huberdeau and top PP. He is going to put up a shitload of points and hits.

I agree. Bennett for me quite easily. Too bad Krecji retired or else it would be a lot closer.

Nobody is saying Bennett is going to keep up this torrid Florida pace and finish a full season with 120pts. That’s (hopefully) obvious and it shouldn’t even have to be said.

But can he can finish with say, 65? Absolutely. And that’s still worlds better than what he did in Calgary and chances are it’s a good value considering where you may have drafted him.

I personally believe he could pace in the 70-75pts range this year but I drafted him to be my #4 center so even if he comes in around 65 give or take I’m happy. Anything more will just be gravy.
