On their first game, after all the hype, why can I just barely hear the commentary? They need a 6:30 AM meeting to yell at them and call them idiots.

There was no energy in the stadium (TBL fans aren't hockey fans) which just bleeds through the players and commentators.
The camera angles are 100% a broadcast used to getting interesting shots from different camera angles for NFL and MLB where the standard camera is far away, so they can change the angle and get a cooler shot easier. Hockey, the standard camera angle is not far away, not close up so these different camera angles are just...not changing the view experience enough for us. Plus the game is a lot less scripted than the other sports so trying to telegraph where these guys go with the odd camera angles is just...too jittery sometimes.
The only time a different camera angle should be used is in highlights. Or maybe when a defenseman breaks up the ice after retrieving a cleared puck on the powerplay because the camera man knows what the player is likely to do.

TNT kind of screwing things up too, 2 goals being scored while Gretzky (about as exciting as paint drying) was talking. Awkward that he’s on PIP during the game calling. Oh well they have rest of season to get it right.
