Saw this guys name getting added on Yahoo and see he's won backup job in AZ. Getting some love in Dobbers ramblings as well.

With only Hutton in front of him could this be this year's completely out of nowhere NHL goalie emergence? Or perhaps he's down to play AHL next week, who knows. Is he on anyone's radar? Obviously not someone you'd want to start with the team in front of him but could be a watch list type.

If it happens I'd say he's most likely to pull it off because of opportunity. Hutton won't keep him down if he's up for the task.

Could he be this year's Lankinen? Yes, but it's unlikely. If you need starts badly, or want to use him to spot start against other terrible teams, maybe.

Is he worth an add in dynasty or as a farm goalie? Absolutely.

I completely missed him in my super deep dynasty when poring over goalies late last year, and that's a rarity.

My goalies in my 16-team dynasty league are Vasi-Sorokin-Elliott-Brossoit

Brossoit won‘t get many games i guess?

Pretty much every goalie is taken in our league!

I would not drop Brossoit for him.

Wins, GAA, SV+SS, and to some extent Shutouts are team driven stats. I see two of those favoring Vegas, plus shutouts.
Games played is a "How good are you, and how bad/injured is other main goalie?" stat. That favors Vejmelka, as Hutton is barely better than an injured Lehner, and isn't close to a healthy one.
SV% is more individual talent.

To drop Brossoit, you'd want to feel that Vejmelka will get more games than Brossoit, which is likely, if he plays well. You also want him to do better at all the rate stats, and at least equal the wins, and that's unlikely.

I'd be more inclined to drop a skater for a week or two, and let things play out.

I direct your attention to the Carter Hutton signing; he isn't even a washed-up once good guy like Dubnyk, he's worse.
