Default Week 5 - Kittle and picking up 2nd TE

So I'm relatively new to fantasy football. Have a solid team right now and have squeaked to 3-1.
I have George Kittle at TE, and he's Questionable/Day-to-day. SF plays the 2pm game vs. Arizona. Does it make sense to add a 2nd TE in case Kittle cannot go so I do not get stuck with a 0 at TE?
Kittle also has bye-week next week so will have to add one regardless.

I could add Jared Cook (v. Browns) or Austin Hooper (v. Chargers) who both play at 2pm Sunday. Any strong preferences between those 2

If you're concerned that Kittle won't play, and you have the roster space, then you should add a TE and be ready to switch him in in case Kittle is out.

Between the two you mention, I like Cook more than Hooper. At that level, it'll always depend on who might be lucky enough to score a TD. With the report that Cleveland's QB is playing through a torn labrum, and Justin Herbert being a dynamic QB, I'll go with the better QB and hope for the best.

Just want to make sure we cover all bases. As I have Cook as my 14th top TE this weekend... and Hooper is 19. So prefer Cook... but there are 13 I like better than Cook.

Is Dallas' Schultz available? He has been lighting it up but was a lesser known commodity. They also play late afternoon slate.

I'd say there's a 95% chance Kittle plays. Guys a baller and doesn't really need to practice. I would look at picking up a Philly TE if available as they play TBB next week and are terrible at covering TE and deep balls this yr. Guy like Ertz is a perfect fill in for Kittle during the bye week.

Another under the radar choice you might consider is Mike Gesicki. With Tua out, the passing tree is just Devante Parker and Gesicki. Downside is that he plays the early game on Sunday, so you'd need Kittle intel before then.

Thanks guys. Schulz and Gesicki are not available.

Also, I just realized Kittle has a bye-week week 6 so I will be picking up a TE regardless for Week 6, might as well do it Week 5 to cover my bases. I think I will go with Cook.
    Cheers.

Knox is another I’d check out. Good luck.

Fuller is out too, making Gesicki even more appealing. Knox would be my go-to. Other flyer TEs would be Juwan Johnson, Maxx Williams, is Cook avail? Conklin
