Could even be worse when you realize they are giving away the worst of the 2 picks if they are top 10. I know they keep the high pick but they are still giving up a potential top 10 pick for Dvorak.

I think that's an obvious statement we all feel. At least that's my thought. I was more thinking past obvious "we hope he gets healthy and good for him for seeking help"

Also, what's the cap situation of the program? I think you still count towards the cap, but not towards the 23 man roster?

Life just isn't easy for anyone...young man, with loads of pressure, with a young family, and suffering from an injury that required surgery. I feel for him, and everyone who's been in a similar situation (that is, dealing with stress, fatigue, mental issues). It can crush anyone, even if you are wealthy and a professional athlete with better access to help/medical care than most of us.

Shifting thoughts to Price... I feel him.

My own engineering office changed over the past two years, during COVID.
The company pushed people to work-from-home, the schools pushed our kids to learn-from-home for a while.
We couldn't visit face-to-face with my own family. We couldn't visit (across border).
We were overloaded to have two work-from-home parents in same room with two educate-from-home kids.

The last two years, it just crushed me.
80% of our office loves working from home... when I see them, they're quality of life has improved.
These people that "were" sort of my friends (when you get old, your workmates are the other people you actually interact with)... disappeared on me.
My wife and I would get on each other trying to work out of the same small room in our small house.
The kids would drive us up the wall - and my wife, who was on the phone for much of the day, would give me the eyes that I needed to take care of the kids.
So I'd get interrupted from my own work, ended up getting pushed down our companies leaderboard of production numbers.
Our oldest daughter lost track of her real friend playdates, drifted hard into social media, ended up with worries and suicidal concerns we'd never seen before.

People... 80%... 90%... came out of this unscathed.
They're still bitching about their own political view and freedoms, still posting pictures of their cats on facebook, or the meal they are going to eat.
10%-20% of the world is a little messed up now... because their world changed... for the worse... somehow.
And you feel that.
You feel that every minute of every day... you feel like you got left behind.

For Price... who knows what family life is like.
But to come back to a lockerroom without Danault, without Weber - longtime teammates.
A GM that'll draft a douchebag... expose you in a draft (albeit for the betterment of the team, but still - maybe that was painful).

I get it... Price got left behind.
Others too... they're just dealing with it... some on their own... some are announcing their help.

Honestly, truly - best wishes for him.
(Feel that all needed to be said... as we do have a tendency to drift away that being a person is real... and sometimes shitty beyond what others can see when they look at you.)
