    Default Petry/Meier

I’m looking for end of lineup D in exchange for end of lineup F and Ds are really hard to come by in our league without given something significant where it wouldn’t make sense to me.

Petry could prob be had from an owner, does Meier for Petry make sense if I’m competing(won last year) and looking to stay ahead of others who are trying to knock me off? Does Petry have 2-3 more years in him of 40pts?

Yes I would do that deal easily because of your forward depth.

I would do that as well. I wouldn't even call Petry and "end of the lineup D" this year. With Weber out all year he should be getting a good chunk of the best minutes. Having said that, I'm not sure Meier would be enough, but it doesn't hurt to find out.

I would keep Meier. He's 24 and his best years are ahead of him. Petry is great now but at 33 has a couple of good years left in him before he starts declining. And I don't see a glaring need to improve your d, if your signature is up-to-date.
I can't promise I'll try but I'll try to try.

How many D do you actually start? You have 7 solid D rostered already, York and Addisson who are in the show and should contribute as "end of lineup" defencemen. I'm just wondering if adding Petry meets a significant requirement for you and getting that done at the cost of losing Meier is beneficial or even necessary. Petry will likely hit 40 this year but beyond that I wouldn't be so sure and I'll add that Petry brings a whole lot more value in a roto league vice a pts only league. As VincentVega has pointed out, while Meier's' value is a bit low at the moment, his best years are ahead of him. This is not a bad deal if it fills a requirement and your in win now mode, but I would recommend reevaluating your requirement.

Petry is more valuable for your team this year, so that’s who I’d take. Meier should continue to improve, but short term in the next 2-3 years Petry will be a solid D to help you compete now
