you're allowed to draft those 2022 prospects? if that's the case, Savoie and I'm never looking back...
Yep, Wright and Lambert were actually drafted last year. And Matvei Michkov has already been selected in this year's draft.
Once the draft has concluded, any player not in the Yahoo system can't be added (or re-added after dropping their rights), so this is the one opportunity to grab the rights to someone like Savoie. The '22 prospects were actually the main reason I wanted to post this message. I was struggling to compare the value of guys like Savoie or Miroshnichenko vs closer players like Tomasino, or guys already in the league. We only get to keep 21 players each year, so it's not a deep roster, but for a future stud, it would probably be worth the one roster spot and wait time.
I've also won the last two years, so I'm in win-now mode, but my team is starting to age a bit. And I don't want to fall off a cliff in the future. Thanks guys.

dang okay, since you're competing it makes it a bit tricky! But I see Savoie and Ivan as potential superstars. My comparison for Savoie is Brayden Point. And I think Ivan has the ceiling of someone like Kovalchuk (maybe that's a bit bullish, lol). He was terrifying at the u18s! Next years draft is NASTY, imo.
I do like the idea of going for a potential superstar. I honestly feel like I do a good job of filling in the bottom of my roster every year. Every year I have to cut a couple guys that I really wish I could keep, and then get snapped up off waivers at the start of the year. (It's going to happen again this year with having to cut 5 of those guys, assuming I keep my draft pick)
We do have an NA spot that can be filled by anyone not in the NHL, so a Savoie could sit in that spot all year. And if McMichael gets time in the league, Savoie wouldn't be taking anyone else's spot there.
ohhhh well that's a compliment to your drafting heh. Yeah I'd fill that NA spot with Savoie myself
