Final Keeper Advice (Rep)

So our keeper selections are due Monday and my Team and League details in my signature below. I have won the league the last two year and have been trying to keep a good mix of both elite veterans and top-end young with break-out potential.

We get to keep a total of 15 roster players (up to 2 goalies) and 10 prospects. In my mind the sure thing keepers are as follows:

C Mackinnon
C Eichel
C Scheifele
LW Ovechkin
LW Ehlers
RW Kucherov
RW Patrnak
LW/RW Fiala
LW/RW Laine
D Makar
D Hughes
D Krug
G Vasilevskiy
G Hellebuyck

This leaves me with one spot left to choose between JT Miller, Blake Wheeler and Andre Burakovsky. Whoever is selected for the final spot will likely be a 1 year keeper as I will be activating Kaprizov this year. There are pros and cons for each of the three players and I would appreciate any feedback on who to go with.

If choosing one of these players for just one year, then I would go with Wheeler.
He still has enough gas in the tank to be sniffing around a P/G with decent peripherals.
Also, the rumors of Miller possibly centering the 3rd line in even strength has me a bit worried.

I agree, I think with that talented team around him (Wheeler) that he is at least good for one more year. Nice place holder for your brand new shiny KK.

If it is just for one more year, Wheeler because STP is a category and he will surely help there.

So far it's unanimous. For all the reasons above, Wheeler is your guy IMO.

Yup, another vote for Wheeler, if you had FOW as a cat that might make Miller alot more interesting but since you don't I think Wheeler is the best option.

You have to go with Wheeler here. Even after his decline, I see 75+ points as a very real possibility with the talent around him.

Wheeler actually gets a decent amount of FOW from the wing. I would still take him with FOW as a cat.
