Eichel - does he play this year?
I feel like he could be a steal in redraft leagues or buying low in a keeper, but does he play this year?

Nobody knows, not even the team or Eichel himself. He’s in total limbo waiting for a trade and a surgery that could happen next week or months from now. Not to mention recovery time and conditioning. Pretty much. He needs to be traded and then have his surgery and then recover and get conditioned. End of the season is pretty much best case.

Buffalo will eventually cave and realize the only rational decision at this point would be to allow him to do what he wants with his body. He’s has HIS surgery. If it’s successful … teams will line up to acquire him. If it goes drastically the other direction, they accept the loss and his salary is covered by insurance and Buffalo moves on and Eichel has to live with his decision.
Does that mean he plays THIS YEAR? I have no idea. Lol.
