Was hoping to see Boldy get a slot on that top line, but I do like seeing him with Rossi and Rau as some sort of a kid line.

Well... I don't know WTF Duhaime is... but I'd assume Gaudreau would slide down to the check line #4.
That gives Boldy a crack at playing with Rask-Fiala.

I would think Rossi would get some AHL time and be a top6 promotion on first injury to talent.


In this case - I think it's a way of giving MIN fans a *sniff* at the future.
Fun for both players.

The moment we have all been waiting for Morgan Frost. Frost was exquisite today. He made crisp passes to JvR and Farabee was a beneficiary of those crisp passes, as well. This line has a chance to wreak havoc on opponents night after night. Frost usually shines in camps, and today was no different. He was fast and assertive with his decision making, and it appeared he did not shy away from contact along the boards either.

Could be a great sleep in late rounds of one-year leagues!

In explaining why Frost and Brassard were getting first cracks at the 2C and 3C roles in camp, Vigneault said that he wants to use Frost in his ideal role, that of a top-6 forward, and see if he can handle it. As for Brassard, he said "he's played his best hockey" there.

Was hoping to see Casey Mitts between Olofsson and Skinner. He had a real good finish last year and seemed to thrive with the new responsibility.

Also now that Skinner is out of Ralph’s doghouse I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a bounce back coming this year. He’s on my watchlist.

FLA 5 - NAS 4: Tanner Jeanot with a big 20min game of 2g, 1a, 3+ min TOI. Cody Glass nice long look at C with 27 FO, winning 12. Sam Bennett picking right off with 1g, 1a, 6sog, 5min PPTOI, 11 FOW/19.
A guy I have my eye on for FLA: Matt Kiersted played 4min TOI like Connauton, Ekblad, Weegar, got 1a, 3sog. Montour probably gets PP2 ahead of Kiersted, we'll see if he can crack club, probably AHL.

BOS 3 - WAS 2: Not much here, though Swayman plays solid half game saving 18 of 19. I like him to steal the "#1 job" over Ullmark this year. I think he's very good.

ANA 3 - SJ 2 (end of 2): A prospect I have my eye on is Tristen Robins for SJ. Small, dynamic forward, probably 2-3 years away... but SJ should open up some slots as they need rebuild.
He's got a goal in 2nd period, I'll have to find highlight.
For ANA, Ryan Getzlaf winning only 3/13 faceoffs against Hertl, Bonino, and Gambrell... ugh.

WPG 2 - OTT 1 (end of 2): Shane Pinto leads OTT players with 3sog incl 3min PPTOI with Formenton, Sokolov, Brannstrom, Thomson. He's got 8 FOW/14. Hearing big thing on his future with OTT.
Eric Comrie with a nice game thus far for WPG: 14/15 saves. Many thought he had a future #1 career with WPG when drafted, finally will get a full year shot as back-up. Good value pick for anybody that owns Hellebuyck so they get 82gp from WPG.

Yeah - Arizona is, BY FAR, the worst team in the league for beat reporters and getting information out there from practicies.
I scoured the internet - and now thru 4 days of camp - I haven't found a single public-listed-line combo. (I don't have a TheAthletic subscription, but Morgan might be posting there.)

I can tell you in Montreal, it's basically all set in stone was it not for injuries.

Suzuki - Dvorak - Evans at C.
Poehling's job to lose at 4C. Otherwise, expect Paquette to line-up there.

Byron (Injured), Perreault as extras.

While Hoffman is injured, look for hard-working Harvey-Pinard to get a long look.

They were missing Dunn and maybe Lauzon as potential top-8 D.
