Donskoi - Jarnkrok - Geekie - (the furthest forward on the ice??) - Cholowski on what looked like an out-of-the-box breakaway from Rathbone.
McCann - Schwartz - Soucy - H Fleury on the PK
Geekie - Donskoi - Appleton - Soucy - Fleury late 2nd period 5vs5.

Robin Salo impressed me with his confidence , Richard Panik is likely going to beat out bellows/dal colle for 13th spot , Sorokin was very sharp.
I think they'll end up signing Gustafsson to rotate in and out with chara and greene so they dont get overworked .

In SJ:
Just watched highlights against VGK.
Jaspar Weatherby is getting noticed and might make Sharks.
For those that can make adds currently in deep dynasties... he's a must-add right now.
Both Matt Nieto and Sasha Chemelevski looked very impressive.
Matt Nieto is a guy whose best seasons are 27pts and 26pts... but it wouldn't surprise me if the minutes available in SJ has him jump to 40pts as an "out of nowhere" type season.
He is a former 2nd round pick... beit WAY back in 2011. #LateBloomer
For VGK, Peyton Krebs made enormous turnover that resulted in SJ first goal... won't bode well for his chances to make team.
read Benn will play center this year. did some scouring and found the lines from day 1 of camp...i'd also argue seguin is line2?
Key lines spread over three sessions from opening day:

Raffl-Benn-Gurianov

I don't know if it's been said in here but Hamonic isn't vaccinated and might opt-out of the season, retire, or get vaccinated and come back. But the rumour is he's "anti-vaxx".
Duncan Keith also isn't at camp because he's just vaccinated and he's not fully vaxxed yet. He was unsure of taking it through the whole offseason and decided to take it really late. Imagine if he didn't get the vaccine and couldn't play like 30+games, what a disaster that would have been for the team.

Good to know - box score suggests they were clicking.
I ended up keeping Christian Dvorak as a C/LW over Dylan Larkin C in a keeper (PQMC) this year as my last forward choice.
So here's hoping he puts together a solid season with FOW from the wing.
(I still think MON paid too much for him to save face on leaving Kotkaniemi... but he's a solid player on a very nice contract)
Checking the ARI-LA box score from last night...
Based on the minutes, their main PP unit was:
Fischer-Eriksson(!)-Guenther-Schmaltz-Ghost
https://forums.dobbersports.com/show...-Needed)/page3
Other PP unit seemed to include:
Dzignel-Hayton-Maccelli(prospect)-Moser(prospect)-parts
(That said, Chychrun & Kessel & Keller didn't dress.)
Both teams had LOTS of PP time in this game without much scoring (2-1 for Arizona).
Hyman-McDavid-Puljujarvi was cooking tonight. A lot of projections for Puljy are pretty mediocre - I wonder if he can outperform them a little bit and hit 50 points, which combined with his hits puts him up a few rungs in multicat.

Came here to mention this line. One takeaway from the game was the way McDavid seemed to be trusting Hyman and JP to make plays. If McDavid trusts his linemates he will include them more and if he includes them more the points will flow. Ignore the quality of the team on the other side and pay attention to the body language when the line scores. McD pointing at Puljujarvi and saying “nice pass”. Hyman pumping up JP on the bench for his nice plays. That to me is a sign of line chemistry building and confidence growing amongst them.
Don’t go crazy reaching in a draft and expecting 70pts or anything. But at the very least keep a very close eye on JP and be ready to pounce at the first sign of this chemistry transferring to the regular season. Could be a 60pt breakout in the works.
