So long as somebody doesn't DIE or have LINGERING SYMPTOMS from their COVID, yes - the immunity from natural produced antibodies are better than a vaccine.

That said, having had COVID does NOT make somebody LESS LIKELY to recontract COVID.
Other studies suggest that somebody who has already had COVID and chooses to be UNVACCINATED is still TWICE.AS.LIKELY (2.34x, per stud) to contract COVID as somebody who is vaccinated (after having had COVID). Aug 6, 2001.

For the NHL, having vaccinated personnel is both about not getting COVID as well as not SPREADING COVID.
Hockey players have strong bodies and those that did get it don't seem to have been affected.
So the NHL's mandate is more about not spreading COVID.

So, that said... by the study's numbers... even if Bertuzzi has once-had COVID... Bertuzzi is still 2.34x more likely to get himself a 2nd case and spread it... then is a vaccinated NHL player.

In short form: No, Bertuzzi possibly having previously had COVID (if he has) doesn't make him less risky to others than a vaccinated person.

You are twice as likely to get Covid again if you don't vaccinate after having had Covid once.

One of my pet peeves about COVID is that many/most people just decided to stop educating themselves about this.
People decided to get vaccinated or remain unvaccinated... and that was it. They're done. No need to learn more. (Most people getting vaccinated did so before July).

And yet, now...
There's constantly new studies released that help us better understand what best decisions are.
My favourite recent article was a University of Waterloo study on mask performance... and that only came out a few months ago.
The studies above are from August.

So it's great that people continue to provide studies and evidence towards making an informed & best decision to help our world get through this.
