Large Trade

I've been offered:
My - Marner, Pastrnak, Tavares, last 2 picks
His - Aho, Point, Scheifele, 1st round (4th overall) and 2nd round pick (16th overall)

Team is in sig. It's a large offer, and I would personally ask for next yrs 1st round pick for the shot at Wright.

Right now my keepers are likely:
Pasta, Marner, Miller, Connor, Eichel, Helly and then Tavares is my 7th in case I can move 2 keepers for 1 keeper (which I'm trying)

So before this deal you have

Marner, Pastrnak, Miller, Connor, Eichel, Helly

and after you have

Aho, Point, Scheifele, Miller, Eichel, Helly? Plus 2 pick upgrades.

Looks somewhat even to me but I think Scheifele is a slight upgrade over Tavares. You're definitely really strong at center after this deal so you would probably need to keep Connor so as not to be completely dead on the wing, so maybe you swap Eichel for Connor?

The only think I don't like is you're dealing two of the best players at the shallowest position. If you think you can fill those spots adequately through the draft then I would say you take this and run otherwise I'd would want to shrink the deal to remove one of Marner or Pastrnak.

I also noticed you're not keeping any D in a start 4 that basically only rewards pp1 Qb's. Josi and Theodore fit that description, so I guess you will also be addressing that issue in the draft?

Echoing what Random-d stated.. not a fan of moving the 2 best players in the deal who happen to play arguably the hardest position to fill.
The pick upgrades are nice, but in a limited keeper I'd be looking to consolidate Tavares & Josi for a D upgrade if possible (ie; Makar, Hedman, Carlson). If not, I'd keep what you have and let Tavares hit the market and keep Josi.
