Default Last Keeper Help: Tolvanen, Arvidsson, Zuccarello

14 team pts only, my team is in win now mode, but also on the lookout for elite talent to pass the torch to.

Tolvanen's numbers in the KHL still mean something to me, but no great centres in Nashville and I'm not sure if Tolvanen is a 50 pt guy or eventually an 80 pt guy. I like Arvidsson's change of scenery, especially if he plays with Kopitar regularly, but he could also continue as he has for the last 2 seasons. I had not even considered Zuccarello until Kaprizov signed today. Zucc put up great points alongside Kaprizov last year, so now he is also back in contention.

    My other keepers are

    OV
    Crosby
    P Kane
    Cirelli
    Trocheck
    Necas
    Rossi
    Carlson
    Klingberg
    Saros
    Shesterkin

    Thanks!

    Tolvanen for me.

Zuccarello is a guy who was never great, and while he had a career high pace last year, I don't see him flying past his 61 point career high.

Arviddson might get some benefit moving to play with better centers, but I don't see him flying past his 61 point career high.

I feel Tolvanen gets at least 50 this year, and that's likely close to what the other two bring as a ceiling.

Arvidsson would be the guy that I would be choosing here but just not confident he can last a whole season. If he can play 70+ games I think 60 points is attainable. Tolvanen would be #2 for me. He'll probably get all the opportunities in Nashville too. First full year so I think there will be a learning curve. Good luck.

Its funny, its so hard to pick Zuccarello, he's almost never drafted in my league, but he often outperforms other guys. He's just one of those players that never seems to have proper value. And then of course when you do pick him, he gets injured.

I'm not inclined to think that Arvidsson's move to the coast is going to "resurrect" his career. It's been 4 years since he put up a career high 61 points and my bet is he falls short of that career high again this year even if he stays relatively healthy which is far from a sure bet. Which leaves us with Zuc and Tolvanen. For me, if you are in win now mode and need the points, take Zuc. This guy has been a solid producer year after year yet he seems to run under the radar, sneak good as they say. Two of the last three years, Zuc has scored at a 68 point pace. That's decent. I think that he can do that again, 65 is a reasonable expectation. I'm not sure if Tolvanen is a PPG player, but he should improve in the next few years and a floor of 60 seems realistic and a PPG ceiling is also realistic IMO. If I'm building, I have no problem taking a shot with Tolvanen.

100% agree with this take. I think Arvidsson will do well but he's more valuable in multicat given his SOG totals.

Tolvanen. Arvidsson and Zucc are always available later in the draft. I think Tolvanen may get scooped earlier in the keeper draft because of his age and upside. Keep him and draft the other two later to shore up your F’s.

As a manager who just acquired him for my farm in the off-season I’m happy to read so much Tolvanen love! I was expecting much more conservative takes being as he’s the one guy who hasn’t actually put up 50-60pts yet.

Zuccarello for me. Points format. Shown chemistry with Kaprizov. I think Zuccarello has a floor of 60 this season.

Tolvanen next if you want youth for the future. But what numbers can he realistically put up in Nashville? His floor is likely around 45.

I like Arvidsson in LA. I think he has a bit of a resurgence.

    My best guesses:

    Zuccarello 60-70

    Tolvanen 45-65

    Arvidsson -50-65
