My Panarin for Backstrom, Keller, and 6 OA pick this year.

Since then we have done our drops and I have traded out Monahan. My keepers are below in the sig.

I am in a soft rebuild, trying to stay top 3 but we also have a rookie prize which would pay for my year if I won it.

Here is the top of the draft list, players that I would be looking at 6OA (I also have 9OA, but no pick in the 2nd round, next pick is 29). I doubt I would take a goalie with a 1st round pick, they arent that valuable in my league unless they are a sure fire 1A starter.

Thanks Peng, its Keller, not Kessel though. Same low scoring low talent team though

I shopped him a bit and the best other offer I got was Hertl straight up. Other GMs wont do it due to their situation; either no 1st round picks to spend, or not in a winning position.
Im pretty sure I could get a decent 2nd rounder for Backstrom, or another prospect. Panarin is just too rich for most.

It was Keller not Kessel, but I still agree with this. The desert is quickly becoming a desert for fantasy purposes as well.

Im already topped up with prospects and usually only keep 1 or 2 drafted players per year unless i hit gold somewhere down the draft. Soft rebuild, so would prefer some talent in return. Ive reached out to others, asking about a Kyle Connor, Nylander, Puljarvi combo. The OGM is in win mode so he may entertain this.

We have two kinds of GMs in our league, ones that dont see value in first round picks and ones that will never trade them away. The ones that like to trade them, already have mortgaged the future (i have one extra pick first round next year as part of my Monahan return). My league also doesn't like to trade daft picks too far into the future in case the GM decides to drop out. I think we are limited to 2 years out.
