    Default Last keepers decision

Hello guys, just trying to sort out the bottom of the roster for the upcoming season. What started as an 18 Team league now shrinked to 16 in its second year, so after choosing all the keepers there'll be a 2 round draft of best available free agents.

League is in signature, keep 25, no more than 3 goalies. In the sig there are players currently marked as keepers. Names that I feel like belong to the bubble — Ty Smith (good rookie season but more competition added), Barabanov (upside of playing in 2nd line?), Seth Jarvis (constantly in the Top-20 prospects list but is there playing time?) and Heinola (same woes as Jarvis?).

Now there's the list of those players that are currently not keepers — Dillon (was picked as a streamer for +- and hits during playoffs), Mikheyev (no jump in production, wants to leave Toronto?), Foegele (change of scenery, unknown role in EDM), Reaves (pure hits streamer), Radulov (was a throw-in into Hellebuyck deal, how much gas left?), Valimaki (big fan of him but Ty Smith's like woes?), Bemstrom (what's the upside?), Jan Jenik (Arizona is bad and carrying two youngsters from here is too much?).

Deadline is in 36 hours or so and I want to ask a more competent public if there are any possible shifts for this list?

Where did you finish in standings last year out of 18 teams?

This doesn't look like a team that is ready to compete for a title.
But it does have all the makings of potentially being that team in 2 more years.
So I think it's wiser for you to stay young and NOT try to qualify for playoffs this year.
Great goalies though, wow - incredible 3 for a 16-team league!

Which "Colton" are we talking about here?

Agreed, this is a young team that is likely a year or two away. I think you have your keepers right depending on who Colton is (:

The bubble guys I like, in order are Valimaki, Jenik and Bemstrom. Maybe one of them is a better option than the mysterious Colton.

You may not believe me but I'm the current champion, despite all three playoff matches were insanely close. And you're totally right about the competition for this year: a repeat is highly unlikely.

Colton is Ross from Tampa Bay. He scored some important goals and got an extension and I'm very thin on centers.

I would stick with all but Colton and Barabonov. I prefer Valimaki and Bemstrom, personally. Not certain Valimaki will reach his potential, but it's still there. He's getting older now. Hopefully will be a later bloomer. I still think Bemstrom can be a very good offensive player and provide some peripherals. Might also take him longer, but if you need hits later in the season, you could probably still find those on the WW and drop whomever. Barabonov, I really just don't see a whole lot in. On that team or even long term in the future. I doubt he sticks in the top 6 for most of his career really. That's honestly the only two changes i would consider making I think.

Please help with mine, thanks - https://forums.dobbersports.com/show...ty-Keeper-Help
