Need help deciding last keeper spot

Help me debate on deciding on last and 5th keeper. I am trending towards keeping Crosby over Shesterskin, but that leaves me with 0 G in a 14 team league..

Current keepers: Huberdeau, Kaprizov, Brady Tkachuk, Adam Fox

Keep 1 in these: Crosby, Shesterskin, Seth Jones, Letang, Wilson

Should i keep Crosby and Shesterskin and drop Fox?

Thoughts?

Keep Fox. If other GMs generally keep a goalie, then I would say to keep Shesterkin. Otherwise, I would probably keep Seth Jones. Rostering 4 D and 6F really puts a premium on good Dmen.

I think there is a very good chance that Seth Jones is the better keep in your format. I think Fox has a regression in scoring and Jones has a big bounce back in scoring. Tally up the difference in Hits, PIM and SOG were Jones has a significant advantage and I think your guy is Jones if the scoring evens out and I think it will. I'd add Shesterkin to your keeps, if this is like most leagues goaltending is at a premium so having a solid goalie on your roster prior to the draft is not a bad idea IMO.

World is going too gaga over Kaprizov.

1. Crosby will have better stats than Kaprizov over next 2-3 years. And in shallow-roster-set leagues, having a FOW-beast is important... which Crosby is.
2. In 14-team, start 2G league, having a rock goalie is critical. Shesterkin is a good one.

Of note: Seth Jones doesn't bring PIM. He only takes minors, doesn't fight... I'm not sure he's had a major (or even a single fight) in his entire NHL career.
The only category Jones might significantly do more in than Fox - is Hits. And since OP has Brady Tkachuk... I think overstocking hits is unnecessary.

Pure scoring from Fox >> Seth Jones hits (and maybe a minor adv in SOG/G).

Another for Shesterkin and Crosby over Kap. 14 teams and only about 12 NHL teams run without a tandem or 1A/1B in nets. You MUST keep Shesty.

I would keep Shesterkin. Absolutely. He's a top 5 goalie long term and I think he's worth keeping.

At this point, I wouldn't keep Crosby unfortunately. Especially with his injury, he's going to be out half the season i think. Crosby is still great and I think he has another 5 years or so in him. But his numbers have more or less been on a slow decline and he isn't as dominant as he once was. Plus, at his age now, there's more risk of injury and more risk of him sitting late in the season if the Pens make the playoffs. Or I guess even if they don't make the playoffs and aren't in contention to. Same goes for Letang really.

Fox, Fox, Fox! Don't overthink it. Keep Fox. I would rather have him in the NHL than guys like Quinn Hughes and Makar. And I would rather have him in fantasy also, especially leagues with peripherals like yours. In that kind of league I honestly think he's worth more than both Quinn Hughes and Makar who most people will probably be salivating over. And don't worry at all about all the Nils Lundkvist hype. It's mostly HYPE right now. And there's really no good place on this Ranger team for him now and down the line. Trouba will be the 2RD behind Fox until Trouba's NMC runs out. Then, Schneider will be taking his place at 2RD. The ONLY Rangers Dmen who are untouchable for the organization right now are Fox and Schneider. Schneider is beast. His offensive potential isn't as high as Lundkvist or Jones, but he's gritty, super physical and has the highest defensive ceiling. He's going to be so important to the future of the Rangers. I don't even think Lundkivst is untouchable for them and they might end up having to trade him anyway. This is Fox's team for the next decade at minimum.

I wouldn't make any changes to your current keepers, just adding Shesterkin. Kaprizov might be a risk. But I think in all likelihood a deal gets done, in which case you would be kicking yourself probably for not keeping him. And in my leagues at least, if he didn't re-sign, the team that owned him would still retain his rights. He will be back in the NHL sooner or later, so I would want to retain his rights either way.

Ah k. Thought it was 6 months. I must have mixed that up. Either way though, I would still go Shesterkin. I love Crosby, always have. But he's been on the decline. And at his age, the Pens would be resting him towards the end of the season if they've guaranteed a playoff spot or guaranteed out of the playoffs. But also, he's gotten banged up more and more as he's gotten older and as his stats have gradually declined. Love him really, but Shesterkin has a brighter future. And I can't see picking Crosby over the guys all ready decided to keep.
