Keeper - Seguin vs JT Miller

So i'm down to either Seguin or JT Miller in a keep 4, 12 team league. G A PPP +/- SOG FOW are the player cats. I think i have a better shot at redrafting Seguin since he was basically out all year last year and he really isn't getting much love in the rankings. Did he really fall off the point cliff already and is a 60-70 point player? I'm hesitant to think so but am open to thoughts. My other keepers are Barkov, Connor, and Eichel

Seguin will bounce back, but I prefer Miller by a decent margin here.
I think Seguin will pace out to be a 70ish, maybe 75 pt guy on the high side, while I see Miller as having a safe floor of 70 and upside for 80+ if everything clicks.

This is 100% smoke and mirrors and absolute nonsense.

Miller is an elite producer and has amazing chemistry with Pettersson. He was never going to be 3C, and even to that matter, the Canucks explicitly acquired Dickinson who will be their highly effective 3C.

Miller’s faceoffs are too important to take him off the Petey line right now. Until Pettersson improves in the dot they are attached at the hip when he’s is in the lineup.

Miller is my pick as well.

I’m agreeing with everything I’m seeing here. I love Seguin, but I think you can easily grab him in the draft. Miller can reach 80 points in that lineup in a full season. He could go for even more. He’s the much safer pick here.

Yeah I'm on the Miller train here. I think the point regarding him as 3c is because Green benched him last season and dropped him down the lineup because he repetitively made mind blowingly effortless plays away from the puck. So, although I don't think it's totally smoke and mirrors, it's really hard to see them splitting Miller, Boeser, Petterson when it's such an effective line. As others have said he offers them above 50% faceoffs (59% in 2019-20) which Pettersson cannot offer. I guess it's close enough to smoke and mirrors, but it isn't 'nothing' as Miller was in Green's doghouse multiple times last season... for good reason.

JT Miller take's Petey's FOW and has 118pts in his last 122gp with VAN (two seasons).
He's the keep here.

Seguin turns 30 in January.
We have no idea how well he took care of his body over the past year.
We do know it has been very hard for many of us to feel motivated during COVID.

Seguin's definitely not worth the risk over a healthy producing player like Miller.

Yeah it occurred in February, where Miller was moved to the third line left wing and Hoglander was bumped up to play with Pete and Boeser. It didn't last very long though as I'm sure it was just a message from Coach Green. As I said though I still take Miller, as last year was frustrating for a lot of Canuck players and I don't see it as a trend. Was just stating the possible reasons people would suggest the move.

Seguin short here either, he could be a steal in the draft, but Miller is your keeper.
