With hits and that desperate need for a LW i think it's a win! not a huge win, but a good win for sure.
So I moved Caufield and Beniers for Svech. I sent the proposal and was surprised it was accepted. I desperately needed a LW and I think I filled that hole well. Full keeper. What do you think?

i think that's a fair deal, Caufield will be a stud and Beniers has a great floor but Svech is a great upgrade on that LW for you and is more the win now piece with great upside for the future too
Very good trade for you
this is very one sided...great way to capitalized on the CC hype train...i thought it maybe too late for that but you still got it done!! About 2 months from now you will be very happy you did this.

It depends on total roster.
If this is a 10team x 12F league (I'm guessing) there's 120F in play.
All three of these players have some value relative to the cut-off starting forward.
Just throwing a "points" number on them.
75 Svechnikov
65 Caufield
50-60 Beniers (s2/s3/s4 avg)
50 WaiverWireF #120
The Svech side is really Svech(75)+WWF(50) = 125
Caufield (65) + Beniers (60) = 125... but I think it's optimistic that Caufield & Beniers hit these marks.
And also - a keen GM will find a 2nd player (the WWF-50) that will do better than being a waiver-level-player.*
*This, the ability to find/replace the other player in 2-for-1 deals is what can make the 1-side... often... the better side.
Also - as we know, Svech does MULTI-CAT way better than Caufield and/or Beniers...
So that's some larger amount for him.
So yes... because it's a 10-team league... I like the Svechnikov side.
If it was 12 or 14-teams... it might be closer to level.
ELITE players typically win shallower leagues/set-ups... so no surprise that intuition of posts above got this one right.
I agree with Pengwin's point, particularly about that extra spot being more useful than most think, as long as the GM is good and combing the wire.
With only 600 rostered players & prospects and a need at LW, you did well. There are going to be plenty of useful players on the wire, particularly in a non-cap league.

You addressed a need. Got the best player in the deal to boot. Upgraded your team. Well done.
Call me old one more time.

I like it for you. We have no idea what Berniers will be and I like Svechnikov to Caufield in this setup by quite a bit.

Thanks everyone for the responses. It is a shallow league with 10 teams. With the extra roster spot and some drops I was able to claim Stankoven, Rosen, and Zac Jones for the minors. So consider the trade Svech/Stankoven for Caufield/Beniers.

I will echo the rest of the sentiments. I love this trade for you. Well done.
I think Caufield's highest value is right not. I think he will be good... but not great.
Yes, he was great in playoffs last year.
But how many years was Silverberg great in playoff then meh in regular season.
How about Heiskanen two years ago in playoffs.
I think you received great value in selling Caufield when you did.
Great return!
