Just a reminder that zone start % is only for shifts that start with a faceoff and the majority of shifts start on the fly, so while the stat is telling, it's just easier to say that with similar usage Danault is simply outperforming Dvorak.

You mean number. You posted one stat. That don't answer my thought.

    Dvorak has 432 shifts, offensive zone shift start 19.4% = 83.808 / 17 games = 4.9298
    Danault has 378 shifts, offensive zone shift start 14% = 52.92 / 15 games = 3.528

So Dvorak gets ~1.5 more Offensive zone starts in a game than Danault. Proving my thought wrong.

So he’s not in Montreal but you’re still on his side? Or you would be if were still on Montreal? Or you’re reality is he is still on Montreal? Or you’re a Kings fan now? Great post…

As a Hab fan, was vey happy when they got Dvorak. I thought he was a lot better than what I see right now. Doesn’t seems to have desire to win, my be he learned that with the Yotes. I’m just starting to think the Habs should have kept their two picks, and be patient 2-3 seasons….

He’s been gone for two months.

    Irrelevant to the offer sheet.

Dvorak v. KK is really all than should be analyzed.
    2021/22 Mtl wins this situation.
after that who really knows. ?
Carolina developed players better then Mtl.

If KK hits potential the question that we will need to ask is,
    - Could he have reached that potential if she stayed in Mtl?
pure speculation at the end of the day.

    Fun observation….

Joke was the biggest KK tire pumper on these Dobber boards in his draft year.
he was the only one (outside of Bergervin) that thought KK was a top 10 talent
Carolina did hire him as a Euro amateur scout
might be nothing… like I Said fun observation.

And clearly Arz is going FULL REBOOT after Chayka.

they will be bottom 3 and stockpiling picks the next 2-4 years. Expect the. To be busy at the trade deadline. Lots of expiring contracts.
how many extra 2023 picks can they acquire to go with their current 8 1st, 2nd rounders in 2022?
Wait someone from the boards got hired as Carolina's amateur scout? Who?
Goalies: If I'm pickin em you best be sittin em!

where do you guys getting OZS information?

i would like to see the difference in OZS for Kopitar now that Danault is on the team reducing the defensive load on Kopitar.
One day I will quit fantasy hockey, today is not that day.

If you want the same site for other sports, just google "Football Reference" or "Baseball Reference" and you'll get the same thing but for other sports.

thats a pretty big improvement for Kopitar going from prmarily defensive zone starts to primarily offensive zone starts. bigger spread too going from 15.5%/18.1% to 19.1%/13.8%

Why are we even comparing Dannault and Dvorak?

There's no cause & effect here.

They're also not the same type of centre - we should not expect zone starts to be the same.

And please, we can't isolate & only look at Dvorak's poor stats - outside of Suzuki, the entire team has been sh-t. Right Petry?
