    Default Top Young Guns

    Hey folks,

This year I have the 4th overall pick in the draft, the rookies available had to have played at least 1 game last year, so this years top 3 for example would likely be:

    Lafreniere
    Caufield
    Kaprizov
    Robertson

Who else am I adding to this list for consideration, right now I have 1 of those 4.
    Salary Cap League:
    13 Team, G, A,+/-, W-2, OTL,SO-3
    30 max, 21 weekly active roster (12F, 7D, 2G)
Note: Our league is 1 year behind in terms of available players and salary. Salary doesn't change for length of Pool contract.

    Team:
    F-Trochek, Necas, J.T.Miller,McCann,Terry,Engvall, Zibanajed,mikhehev,GourdeHagel, Petterson,skinner
    D-
    Lindgren,Barrie,Forsling,.Morrisey,Aho,Ekblad,fabe r
    G-
    ,ulnarkSherstkin, Ned

    (*) = Multi year deal

Zegras is multiple tiers above Steel and Terry. I'd covet a player like him in your situation.

    Tolvanen
    Norris/Batherson
    Wahlstrom
    Newhook
    Denisenko
    Tippett
    Cozens
    L.A. Forwards (Kaliyev/Turcotte etc.)

Those are some guys that come to mind.
10 Team Limited Keeper (Keep 8) Points Only
    SALARY CAP (Player Salaries) League
    20 Player Teams = 12 Fwd 6 D 2 G

    My team: ???

This is how I'd rank the main players to consider in this range.

    Byfield

    If you want immediate production:
    1. Kaprizov
    2. Caufield
But your team doesn't look ready to compete

For long-term, if points are all that count:
    1. Lafreniere
    ...
    2. Zegras
    ...
    3. Byfield
    4. Kaprizov
    5. Caufield

Robertson isn't a factor here. Good player, but I don't see him nosing onto the TOR PP1.
    No PP1... not big points.

Totally agree. Stutzle should be on the list. I was copying and pasting the names others mentioned already and for some reason he wasn't mentioned yet.

FWIW, my re-ranking including him would look like this:

    Lafreniere
    Kaprizov
    Zegras
    Stutzle
    Robertson
    Drysdale
    Caufield
    Byfield
    12 team, H2H, salary cap
    1 pt/G or A, 2 pts/W, 1 pt/OTL, 1 pt/SO

For me now and well into the future it's Kaprizov. Laf would be a very close 2 and Byfield/Stutzle 3.
